CSR has become a major issue for the growth and sustainability of businesses. With an audience of 3.5 million visitors and 48,000 exhibitors annually, Comexposium has the responsibility to raise awareness and support its communities on the environmental, economic and social issues specific to their respective sectors.

Setting up events to serve the economic performance of our communities

  • The purpose of a business event, whatever its format, is to contribute to the economic development of businesses by bringing together buyers and solution providers. Trade shows, congresses, one-to-one meetings, are all models that contribute to the attractiveness of a company, a start-up, or an artisan.
  • The trade show media thus offers all exhibiting partners visibility and notoriety; business opportunities and growth potential.
  •  Through its events, Comexposium contributes to strengthening the attractiveness of key sectors for the economy. If the exhibitions provide a media and institutional sounding board for sectoral organizations and federations, they above all allow them to collectively address key issues for their transformation, by promoting good practices and innovations.
  • At these events, Comexposium contributes to the creation and maintenance of jobs within the sectors, thanks to the deployment of training and recruitment spaces as evidenced by the following examples
    • The “Ouvriers de France eyewear makers” space at Silmo Paris
    • The space dedicated to students on Solutrans
    • “La Cuisine” led by SIAL Paris and students from the Ferrandi School
  • Through its subsidiary L’Etudiant, a leading training and orientation media outlet, Comexposium actively contributes to the development of employment and the promotion of professions and know-how throughout France.
  • Finally, by operating events in 67 cities around the world on more than 300 dates per year, Comexposium contributes to the economic and social attractiveness of territories. Our events drive business tourism and the associated economic benefits in Paris, Monaco, Singapore, etc.

Empower our communities on CSR issues in their sectors

  • In all our events, we think about the CSR issues of the sectors we address from the moment they are designed. Where applicable, we set up CSR Committees made up of experts in the sector to be able to provide solutions, like INTERMAT PARIS 2024 or SILMO PARIS respectively engaged in the decarbonization of the construction materials industry and sustainable development issues in optics and eyewear. This reflection can result in the materialization of a charter of CSR commitments as for INTERMAT or  One t One B.Better events.
  • Comexposium also ensures in its content programming to integrate conferences, podcasts, interventions on sustainable transformation issues specific to each industry, as evidenced by the following examples:
    • SILMO’s CSR chronicles
    • Conferences on new modes of transport on Solutrans
    • The panel hosted by BFM Business on the subjects of decarbonization in construction on INTERMAT
    • Conferences and masterclasses on new operating methods at Wine Paris Vinexpo Paris…

Encourage our Exhibitors to take a CSR approach to our events

  • For visitors and exhibitors alike, Comexposium has implemented eco-gestures, which promote good practices for participating in responsible events.
  • Customer surveys can also include questions aimed at assessing the sensitivity and needs of visitors in terms of CSR, but also to contribute to the estimation of the carbon footprint.
  • Concerning exhibitors, Comexposium promotes the use of an equipped stand, which emits less carbon than a bare stand. The Group designed its own equipped stand, the “Comexposium stand design by Marcelo Joulia”. Designed with a sustainable development approach, this stand emits 25% less carbon than a stand equipped with brushed cotton and 40% than an entry-level bare stand.

Create events that enhance the economic performance of our communities

  • CSR is one of the three strategic axes of the Comexposium Group. As such, it also constitutes a growth issue for our events which must integrate this theme into their offering.
  • Certain group events offer spaces dedicated to providers of responsible solutions or services. Since 2019, Who’s Next, the fashion show, has hosted a segment dedicated to responsible fashion, entitled Impact, for which exhibitors must complete precise specifications.
  • Others promote the initiatives of committed exhibitors through their “Awards” such as SILMO with the Committed Exhibitor Prize, Intermat with that of the most responsible stand or Paris Retail Week with the Innovation Prize. CSR.
  • Comexposium is also launching new events dedicated to CSR issues, such as Building Green in Copenhagen in 2023 or One to One B.Better, a pioneer in the format of business meetings dedicated to CSR professionals, including the first edition, by elsewhere labeled LEAD Gold level took place in June 2024 at Paris Longchamp.
By bringing into contact a group of experts, we champion the adoption of innovative solutions that empower businesses to transition towards a more responsible and sustainable economy.
